Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024, Eligibility, Benefits & Application Form Apply The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has launched a new scheme to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in the coming months. The new E-Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 (EMPS 2024) has an outlay of Rs 500 crore for four months from April 1 to July 31, 2024. It has been brought after the end of the FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India) subsidy program. The FAME II scheme will end on March 31. The company said that the new incentive amount will be only for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
Through EMPS 2024, the government will give an incentive of Rs 10,000 on each electric two-wheeler. Which will be Rs 25,000 per vehicle for small electric three-wheelers (e-rickshaws and e-carts) and up to Rs 50,000 for large electric three-wheelers. MHI said in a statement that its target is to provide assistance to about 3.3 lakh two-wheelers and about 31,000 electric three-wheelers through the latest e-mobility scheme.
