The government has collected over Rs 600 crore as penalty for the delay in linking PAN card with Aadhaar card, and around 11.48 crore permanent account numbers are still not linked to the biometric identity, Parliament was informed on Monday. Finance State “The number of PANs not linked to Aadhaar as of January 29, 2024, excluding exempted categories, is 11.48 crore,” minister Pankaj Chaudhary said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

- First of all go to the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department of India.

- Next, under the profile section, click on the option of “Link Aadhaar”.
- After this, fill your PAN, Aadhaar number and name as per Aadhaar.
- Finally, verify the details and click on submit option.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Fill it and validate the process.
